Woman Hurt in Serious Plainview Crash

A driver was seriously injured in an afternoon crash on Plainview Road Tuesday, firefighters said.

and the Nassau police units responded to the crash at 4:20 p.m. on Plainview Road at Edith Street.

The driver had lost control of her vehicle and slammed into the rear of a parked car. That car jolted forward with the impact and struck another vehicle parked nearby.

Firefighters, working quickly with an ambulance responding at high speed, freed the driver. She was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

Her identity and her condition could not be learned.
