Wreckage Litters Plainview-area Roads

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt in any of these four local accidents Tuesday.

Local firefighters and Nassau County police units responded to at least four reported car crashes late Monday into Tuesday afternoon.

In Plainview, there was a morning crash at Old Country and Round Swamp roads. One woman was transported to Plainview Hospital with minor injuries. A second driver refused medical attention at the scene.

Overnight in Farmingdale, a driver flipped his vehicle on a residential street near Hempstead Turnpike. Police said the driver fled the scene.

Then, Tuesday afternoon, a car crashed into a utility pole on Plainview Road. In this instance, Bethpage firefighters responded. The woman was transported to a local hospital; her injuries were described as minor.

There was a fourth reported accident, considerably more minor, near the Service Road of the LIE Tuesday afternoon. No further reports were available.
