Bethpage Parkway Closed Nights Due to Repairs

State says repairs are needed; work may take three weeks.

The Bethpage State Parkway will be closed in both directions most nights beginning immediately at 10 p.m. at Hempstead Turnpike due to repairs, State Department of Transportation officials said Monday.

The parkway will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Sunday through Thursday so workers can repair concrete and make bridge repairs.

The project is expected to take about three weeks, but bad weather could prolong things, officials said.
