Homeland Security Precautions: How Concerned Are You?

Feds say precautions should be taken in wake of recent, non-specific threats.

Federal officials, including Congressmen Peter King, R-Seaford, and Steve Israel, D-Huntington, along with members of the FBI and Office of Homeland Security on the precautions they should take in the wake of recent, non-specific terror threats against U.S. targets.

They stressed that there is no specific, credible threat against any Long Island synagogue or other institution. They urged the leaders to be vigilant and consider a security assessment provided at no cost by the government.

It's been nearly 11 years since the Sept. 11 attacks. And yet a in Farmingdale Tuesday caused hour-long delays on the Ronkonkoma branch.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
