Limited LIRR Service Resumes

Trains expected to run during rush hour commute from Plainview area stations to Penn Station.

The restored limited service Tuesday on its major lines, including the Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson routes and expects to continue limited service to Penn Station.

The railroad, which suspended its operations on Monday due to the storm, restored limited service eastbound from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma, Port Washington, Huntington and Babylon Monday night.

The railroad reported it was working around the clock to restore all service.

The Ronkonkoma branch runs through Bethpage and Hicksville stations. The Port Jefferson line runs through Syosset and Hicksville.

I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
