Nassau Redistricting Discussion Set for Monday in Plainview
An open discussion about the latest proposal on redistricting will be held at 6 p.m. at the high school
The public is invited to a public discussion of the latest Nassau redistricting proposal, set Monday at 6 p.m. at Plainview JFK High School.
"We need you tomorrow! Plainview-Old Bethpage needs you! When communities are divided, they lose their voice!" said Lauren Corcoran-Doolin, Nassau Temporary Redistricting Commission and Legislative Minority/Democratic Executive Director on the organization's Facebook page.
The contentious issue is over the latest proposal to split Plainview into separate legislative districts. Plainview and Woodbury comprise a single district now, represented by Democrat Judy Jacobs of Woodbury.
