Night Closures to Impact North Broadway at LIE

Repairs causing travel lanes on Route 106/107 to close Wednesday and Thursday night.

The state will close travel lanes on the NY Route 106/107 bridge over the Long Island Expressway Wednesday and Thursday nights, Sept. 11 and 12 for overnight construction work.

The travel lanes will be closed and/or shifted between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. in both directions throughout the night to accommodate the progress of the construction operations, state officials said.

A minimum of one travel lane in each direction will remain open at all times.

The closures are needed to resurface the deteriorated pavement of NY Route 106/107 over the LIE, the portion of North Broadway straddling the Hicksville and Jericho line.

The top layer of worn, distressed asphalt will be removed, repairs will be made and new asphalt and pavement markings will be provided.
