Plainview's Water is Finalist For Nassau's Best

Today: 5: Water Commission goes up against two others on Thursday; winner faces Suffolk.

Theis a finalist for Nassau County's "best tasting water," as it celebrates National Drinking-Water Week.

The final round of the Nassau competition is Thursday at the Franklin Square Senior Center where Plainview's Board of Commissioners Andrew Bader, Joel Kessler and Edward Shulroff will put their district's water up against two other competitors.

The winner goes on to face the Suffolk County winner for the title of Long Island's Best Tasting Water.

1. This year marks the Long Island Water Conference’s 27th-annual "Best Tasting Water Competition." Said Chairmain Andy Bader: “Our goal is to ensure the Plainview-Old Bethpage community that they will continue to enjoy the cleanest and best-tasting water possible.” We'll keep Patch readers posted.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
