The Town will host the first “All-Star Game” for the members of the Long Island Senior Softball Association’s (LISSA) Division 5 at John J. Burns Town Park in Massapequa on Monday

The game, scheduled or 6:15 p.m., will square off two 15-member teams, who average at 75 years of age and feature the top players from Division 5 teams. Admission to the game is free.

“The Long Island Senior Softball Association Division 5 is comprised of a truly remarkable group of people,” said Councilwoman Rebecca Alesia, of Plainview. “What spectators often don’t realize is that many of these players have undergone some sort of life-altering medical procedure, whether it be a joint-replacement or cardiac procedure, at some point in their lifetime.”
