One of my neighbors and I were having a quality of life issue with a mutual neighbor of ours. I had reached to numerous town departments and got no where. I had then reached out to Steven Labriola hoping he could finally resolve my issue and to my dismay he did nothing. I received a letter containing a generic response and that was the last I heard from him. I understand they are busy and have pressing matters but nothing was ever done to even try to resolve this issue. So if he cant resolve a simple quality of life issue, how in the world is he going to run the town? It is safe to say we will not be voting for him
Dick Blair November 04, 2011 at 03:22 PM
For the record, I will be voting for Steve Labriola this coming Tuesday. Thank you!
Carol November 04, 2011 at 09:30 PM
Jimmy I'm very sorry the matter was not resolved to your satisfaction, but give us another opportunity to get it right. Sometimes the answer is not easily found but Steve thinks "outside the box". Give me a call at the office on Monday and Steve and I will give it another go. Sincerely, Carol, Secretary to the Town Clerk

So now they care. I always love the caring of an elected official once you say you aren't going to support them anymore.
Dan Michaels November 04, 2011 at 10:05 PM
What was the quality of life issue? Being vague doesn't help.
Ralph Nesberino November 05, 2011 at 10:03 PM
Challenger Mike Canzoneri wishes to take over the job of Town Clerk but does not care to be interviewed. What is up with that? It is like an employer asking a perspective employee to come in for an interview, with the response, "I will email you instead": How can Mr Canzoneri think the voter will vote for someone who is not willing to show his face?? I just don't get it. Please respond "Mystery Man".

Here are a few ways Steve Labriola is not truthful... http://nassaugopwatch.blogspot.com/2005/11/fun-times-with-town-of-oyster-bay-town.html And he lies... http://nassaugopwatch.blogspot.com/2005/06/tobay-town-clerk-busy-busy-busy.html http://nassaugopwatch.blogspot.com/2005/06/tobay-town-clerk-update.html

^That is a left wing partisan website. How can any sesible person believe what they read on that site? You think people are stupid enough to believe everything they read on the internet? That's very disheartening. You say negative things in an effort to slander or hurt people but you don;t back them up with facts? Where are your answers? Stop complaining, get up, and get something done if you're so unhappy rather than rant and rave on the computer.
John Rennhack November 05, 2011 at 11:20 PM
Jay, there are links to back up what was said. Sorry but Labriola was caught.
Ralph Nesberino November 06, 2011 at 01:15 AM
Do you have any evidence of improprieties in years 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, or this year 2011. I appreciate your research and digging up third hand information from over 6 years ago. We need provable facts in order to charge Mr. Labriola with perjury. You can personally be libel for your accusations and stating "he Lies".
Jay November 06, 2011 at 09:10 PM
Links that are both inaccurate and writtien by the misinformed. It's easy to make up stories, just take a look in the mirror. I strongly doubt you'll like what you see. Stop playing games and open your eyes!
Jay November 06, 2011 at 09:34 PM
You know what. You have some nerve posting your own awful, slanderous websites on here for unsuspecting people to actually have the displeaure of reading. I mean really? Who do you think you are? You should be disgusted with yourself. No wonder why you always lose. But there will always be one thing you'll never lose. The pounds! Have you ever considered a diet? You're really quiet funny? Have you ever looked into comedy? You might want to sometime. John, you crack me up. lol Just give up now, you've got no chance!
Dan Michaels November 06, 2011 at 10:43 PM
Is this you John? Sure sounds like you. Voice of the Democratic Party...yikes! "Democrat John Rennhack, 37, of North Massapequa, is a television broadcast satellite manager who wants to use technology to open up legislative operations to the public. And he would push Nassau to go green. Both are worthy ideas. But his anti-Republican rhetoric as an outsider and Web site operator has, unfortunately, sometimes been over the top. He needs to reject the hyper-partisanship that has characterized his opponent. - Newday 11/5/2007." Again, lighten up John. Be your own person and stop doing the dirty work for your party of choice. Some find it offensive, as did Newsday.
John Rennhack November 06, 2011 at 11:08 PM
Personal attacks by a coward who won't use her own last name. Says alot about your character. Typical Nassau GOP supporter.
John Rennhack November 06, 2011 at 11:09 PM
Umm the links go to the Massapequa Post and Anton News and the TOBAY website. Are they inaccurate?
Jay November 07, 2011 at 12:02 AM
HAHA! Jay is my last name. I wouldn't give you the satifaction of knowing my first. But if you want to find out come to my house I live on Pea Pond Rd in Wantagh. Maybe I'll put out my Kate Murray Sign just for you fat tub of lard!
John Rennhack November 07, 2011 at 01:29 AM
Wow. More personal attacks. True to character of an Internet tough-guy. No substance, no facts and no class.
Dale from Farmingdale November 08, 2011 at 03:18 PM
OMG: This slandering, obnoxious, immature, unprofessional, no-class a-hole is running for office today! Per Patch: Nassau County Legislature--District 12 (North Massapequa): Peter Schmitt (Republican Incumbent) vs. John Rennhack (Democratic Challenger).
Kristen Ferrari November 08, 2011 at 03:37 PM
Mr. Rennhack, while there have been some attacks that were not based on issues or what is good for the voters, I wish you'd refrain from lumping them in with all Nassau GOP supporters. Unfortunately there are those who choose to not stick to issues but instead write vicious things. They don't speak for the entire Republican party just as those slinging mud against Republicans don't speak for all Democrats. As a candidate I'd hope you would refrain from generalizing and stick to the facts that you have been so good at posting. Let them argue your facts.
James M. November 08, 2011 at 03:37 PM
What's really sad is these are the best candidates both parties could come up with. Two super partisan political players. John while I agree with some of your standpoints I cannot agree with your mannerisms. Schmitt has proven to be a partisan child that runs out of meetings if people don't agree with him. Can we vote OTHER? Did anyone else run in this district? A teenager? a College student? A dog? I'd vote for a Dog before these two.
Dan Michaels November 08, 2011 at 04:04 PM
It really is sad J. It clouds the issues that are important. We lose focus in the slanderous outrageous comments thrown at opponents or different views. The most important thing left is for everyone to VOTE. No matter what your views on issues. VOTE and have your voice and desires heard. Today, many elections are won my very close numbers in the end. Each and every vote is important to all of us. God Bless America.
John Rennhack November 09, 2011 at 02:50 AM
J. why do you have an issue with me presenting the facts? That's all I've done and I've been under personal attack by the party faithful here. I won't back down when politicians like Schmitt and Venditto blatantly lie. The voters have a right to know exactly what is going on and sadly the local media doesn't cover inside politics like they should. I'll keep presenting the facts and if people don't like that, well too bad. I guarantee that next years TOBAY budget will include a tax increase. I can almost certainly guarantee that they will vote to over-turn the tax cap. The Town will also increase borrowing because more of the tax revenue will be needed to pay down the almost $billion in current debt.
John Rennhack November 09, 2011 at 02:57 AM
Ms. Ferrari, I did paint with a wide brush on that but my experience is that the rank and file Nassau GOP followers - not the voters - tend to get angry and violent and lash out. I'll point to all the destroyed signs across the county and especially in F'Dale. I will continue to post the facts and fight to defend those facts. I don't need to lie about what is going on and everything I've posted is easily verifiable. I've enjoyed your commentary on the OWS and when the election is over I hope to have time to blog about other subjects here on Patch.
