Mr. Rennhack, while there have been some attacks that were not based on issues or what is good for the voters, I wish you'd refrain from lumping them in with all Nassau GOP supporters. Unfortunately there are those who choose to not stick to issues but instead write vicious things. They don't speak for the entire Republican party just as those slinging mud against Republicans don't speak for all Democrats. As a candidate I'd hope you would refrain from generalizing and stick to the facts that you have been so good at posting. Let them argue your facts.

What's really sad is these are the best candidates both parties could come up with. Two super partisan political players. John while I agree with some of your standpoints I cannot agree with your mannerisms. Schmitt has proven to be a partisan child that runs out of meetings if people don't agree with him. Can we vote OTHER? Did anyone else run in this district? A teenager? a College student? A dog? I'd vote for a Dog before these two.

It really is sad J. It clouds the issues that are important. We lose focus in the slanderous outrageous comments thrown at opponents or different views. The most important thing left is for everyone to VOTE. No matter what your views on issues. VOTE and have your voice and desires heard. Today, many elections are won my very close numbers in the end. Each and every vote is important to all of us. God Bless America.

J. why do you have an issue with me presenting the facts? That's all I've done and I've been under personal attack by the party faithful here. I won't back down when politicians like Schmitt and Venditto blatantly lie. The voters have a right to know exactly what is going on and sadly the local media doesn't cover inside politics like they should. I'll keep presenting the facts and if people don't like that, well too bad. I guarantee that next years TOBAY budget will include a tax increase. I can almost certainly guarantee that they will vote to over-turn the tax cap. The Town will also increase borrowing because more of the tax revenue will be needed to pay down the almost $billion in current debt.

Ms. Ferrari, I did paint with a wide brush on that but my experience is that the rank and file Nassau GOP followers - not the voters - tend to get angry and violent and lash out. I'll point to all the destroyed signs across the county and especially in F'Dale. I will continue to post the facts and fight to defend those facts. I don't need to lie about what is going on and everything I've posted is easily verifiable. I've enjoyed your commentary on the OWS and when the election is over I hope to have time to blog about other subjects here on Patch.
