Today's 5: President's Day Closings

Monday is President's Day, a federal holiday that impacts government institutions, banks and schools. Most retailers are open today.

On Monday:

1. The President's Day holiday means all federal, state and local government offices are closed. Parks and recreation centers are open, however.

2. There is no postal delivery, except for Express Mail, and post offices are closed today.

3. Most banks and the major financial markets, including the New York Stock Exchange, are closed.

4. Plainview schools are closed today, the first day of the winter recess that lasts all week.
