Town Board to Face Costs of Sandy

Agenda for Tuesday's meeting includes proposal to borrow for unforeseen costs.

The Oyster Bay Town Board meets Tuesday at 10 a.m., the first meeting since Hurricane Sandy caused widespread damage in the town and across the region.

The agenda includes a resolution that would allow the town to borrow money to pay for the unforeseen costs of the storm. It is not clear whether a specific town-wide estimate is available.

See the agenda here:

Patch will have coverage of the meeting later Tuesday.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
