Town Cancels Programs, Opens Warming Centers

Two centers opened in TOBAY until Wednesday morning.

With snow and frigid temperatures hitting the region over the course of the next 24 hours, the Town of Oyster Bay will open and operate two warming centers in partnership with Nassau County Office of Emergency Management. 

These facilities will be open and operational until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The locations are as follows:

  • TOB Bethpage Ice Skating Center, 1001 Stewart Ave, Bethpage
  • Skatehouse at Marjorie Post Park, Unqua Road, Massapequa.
All Town programs have been cancelled for the remainder of Tuesday.
