Town Names Historical Commission Members

7 reappointed, 2 new members added.

The Oyster Bay Town Board has approved the reappointments and appointments of nine members to the

Reappointed to terms expiring on Aug. 31, 2013 were Phyllis Sczesnak of Sea Cliff, Jack Sumroy of Muttontown, Susan M. Troncone of Oyster Bay and Ruth Imhof of Oyster Bay.

Reappointed to terms expiring on Aug. 31, 2015, Kenneth L. Robinson of Syosset, William Johnston of Farmingdale, John E. Hammond of Oyster Bay, who is also the town historian. 

New commission members appointed to terms expiring on Aug. 31, 2015 were Richard Althaus of Hicksville and Philip Blocklyn of Hicksville.

noted that the Oyster Bay Historical Commission was originally formed in 1971 as the American Revolution Bicentennial Historical Commissioner to coordinate the Town’s observance of the nation's 200th anniversary. The commission was renamed the Bicentennial Historical Commission in 1979 and was given its current name in August, 2003.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
