Prayer for Safety in a Storm

Dear Readers,

I hope this e-mail finds you safe and warm.  I have posted below a prayer for safety in a storm. I have also uploaded a message about safety during the storm.

אבינו שבשמים, מקור החיים, גישות הסערה, כוחו של הטבע, אנו נזכרים מעשה בראשית.

Our Heavenly Parent, source of life, the storm approaches,  a force of nature, we are reminded of creation.

 אלוהי הרוח ויראה, הגן על ילדיך כסערה עוטפת את בתינו ועל חיינו. תגן עלינו, שומר עלינו תעניק שלום למי בפחד.

God of spirit and awe, protect your children as the storm engulfs our homes and lives. Shield us, Guard us Grant peace to those in fear.

 ברוך את עובדי הצלה עם הכלים ומיומנויות והנחוצות כפי שהם מסכנים את חייהם למען המשפחות, קהילות שלנו. להעניק ריפוי למי שחולים או פצועים.

Bless emergency and rescue workers with the tools and skills they need as they risk their lives for the sake of our families and communities. Grant healing to those who are sick or injured.

 תברך אותנו עם שכל ישר לאורך הרוח, הגשם והגאות והשפל ועם קרבה ושיתוף פעולה כאשר הסערה תחלוף.

Bless us with common sense throughout the the wind, the rain and the tides. Bless us with fellowship and cooperation when the storm passes.

אל שדי צור ישראל וגואלו הגן עלינו מסערה זו ולראות אותנו כל הלילה, לנוחות, ביטחון ורווחה, כדי שנוכל לשרת אותך באהבה.

Almighty God, Rock and redeemer of Israel , protect us through this storm and watch us through the night in comfort, security and wellbeing, so that we may serve You in love.
