130 Plainview Students Selected 'All-County Music'

Groups to perform at the Tilles Center festival in January.

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District has announced that 130 students have been selected to perform in the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-County Music Festival at the Tilles Center in January.

The students were chosen based on teacher recommendations and high scores at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Solo Festival.

The All-County Festival is a major performance festival hosted by the NMEA for band, chorus and orchestra. It is split into different regions and divisions throughout the county. Students typically participate in three demanding rehearsals in preparation for a concert led by a guest conductor.
