19 Plainview Students Named to Language Honor Society

Seniors rewarded for outstanding achievement in foreign language studies.

Plainview JFK High School’s World Language Honor Society recently held its annual induction ceremony, admitting 19 students into the prestigious club.

Seven Spanish language students, four French language students and eight Italian language students were inducted into the Honor Society. They are: 

Spanish

  • Daniella Haviv
  • Keon Kim
  • Arielle Mendelson
  • Michael Otero
  • Alaina Haviv
  • Jeffrey Wang
  • Maria Leone.

French

  • Amelia Ricketts
  • Natalie Rodrigues
  • Samantha Kaminski
  • Rachel Geyer

Italian

  • Daniel Desimone
  • Hahyeong Kim
  • Alyx Lewis
  • Stephen Napoli
  • Samantha Pantowich
  • Jaime Russolese
  • Michael Schechter
  • Amanda Silver

In order to be inducted, these 12th grade students must earn a 92 percent final average in their previous two years of study and receive a recommendation from their teacher.

The ceremony took place in the high school library and was attended by parents, teachers and POBJFK administrators.
