Academic Honors For Plainview Grads (No.4)

Local students honored for recent academic achievements by SUNY Oswego, Trinity College and the University of Hartford.

The following Plainview area students have been honored for recent academic achievements at their colleges.

University of Hartford

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Victoria Lamagna of Plainview has been named to its Dean's List for Fall 2011.

Brown University

Rebecca Freedman, a 2010 Plainview JFK graduate and now a sophmore at Brown University, had a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the Fall 2011 semester. Rebecca, a biology major, also competes on the Brown University women's gymnastic team.

Trinity College

Benjamin Goldberg of Plainview, of the Spring 2013 class at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., has received Faculty Honors for the 2011 fall semester.

To earn Faculty Honors, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of at least a 3.667 with no individual letter grade below B-minus.

SUNY Oswego

Several area residents have been named to the Deans' List for the fall semester at SUNY Oswego. Showing academic achievement, with their major in parentheses, are:

Brad S. Farber of Lent Drive in Plainview, a senior (accounting).

Michelle E. Farino of Ruby Lane in Plainview, a senior (psychology).

Matthew S. Hausman of Debora Drive in Plainview, a junior (accounting).

Jaclyn A. Lisman of Cedar Drive West in Plainview, a senior (elementary education).

Lauren E. Poggiali of Stratford Road in Plainview, a junior (human development).

Stephanie N. San Antonio of Argyle Road in Plainview, a senior (psychology).

Vanessa M. Saraceno of Roundtree Drive in Plainview, a senior (secondary education).

The President's and Deans' lists represent the academic top 24.4 percent of the Oswego student body. To be included on the Deans' List, students must have a semester grade average of 3.30 to 3.79.
