Academic Honors For Plainview Grads (No. 7)

These Plainview-area graduates honored by various colleges around the country.


SUNY Oswego:

Jaclyn A. Lisman of Plainview, a senior elementary education major, has been named to the President's List for the fall semester at SUNY Oswego.The president's list represents students who achieve grade averages of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale, the top 6.3 percent of Oswego students.

Clark University:

Marc J. Kadushin, a resident of Plainview, has been named to first honors on the Dean's List of Clark University of Worcester, Mass. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2011 semester.

Washington University:

The following students were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Washington University in St. Louis:

Cara Felicia Levitch of Plainview, a graduate of Syosset High School, and is enrolled in the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

Corey Lee Elowsky of Plainview a graduate of Plainview JFK High School is enrolled in the university's School of Engineering and Applied Science.

To qualify for the Dean's List in the School of Engineering, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.

Washington and Lee University:

Heeyeon Seon of Plainview, a member of the class of 2015 at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., has earned dean's list status for the recently ended fall term. Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4

St. Michael's College:

Christopher DeMairo, son of Karen and Mark Demairo of Plainview, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester at Saint Michael's College. DeMairo is a Junior History and American Studies major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont.

SUNY Brockport:

Lindsay Trugman of Plainview, NY was named to the Dean's List at the College at Brockport, State University of New York, for the fall, 2011 semester.
