Boys Basketball Resumes Tonight: Plainview JFK at MacArthur

Hawks resume play with conference matchup Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.

Back to school, and back to the hardwood.  The Plainview JFK boys basketball team resumes conference play as they travel to Levittown to face the MacArthur Generals Tuesday night at 6:15.

Despite a 2-4 record, Plainview is right in the thick of things in Conference AA-II, with a 1-1 mark.  The Hawks defeated Hicksville and lost to East Meadow in conference play thus far.  Mike Harris' squad was in action during the break, losing to Great Neck South in the opening round of the G.N.S. Holiday Tournament.

Forwards Ben Strack and Greg Rankel lead the Hawks into 2011.  The pair combined for 31 points in the Hicksville win, and Justin Bernstein has emerged in the backcourt as of late.

The Generals are coached by Eric Rubin and are led by forwards Kevin Monahan and Kevin Roach.  Gerard Cunningham and William Cheshire, the team's best three-point threat, man the backcourt.  Tyler Eppich has been seeing action at the point as well.  MacArthur also beat Hicksville for their lone conference win, and is 3-3 overall this season.

Plainview Patch will have complete coverage of the game.
