District Wants Help In Superintendent Search

Plainview Board of Education is asking residents for their input and to take an online survey here.

The wants the community's input for a new superintendent.

The district wants residents to help identify the characteristics and skills they feel are most important in the next Plainview superintendent and are invited to participate in an open forum and an online survey.

The District welcomes the public's feedback and thoughts by responding to the survey link: You can access it here: at http://www.pobschools.org.

The survey will be open from now until Dec. 16.

The community is also encouraged to attend the open forum to be held on Monday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Library Conference Room aton Central Park Road at Southern Parkway. The original site of that forum has been changed to the POB Middle School because of scheduling conflicts, school officials said.

To counsel the District in the Superintendent’s search, a national consulting firm that specializes in assisting school boards with candidate searche has been hired by the board.

After decades as an educator and school administrator, is retiring at the end of the school year.
