Farmingdale, Plainview Students Competing in 'The Challenge'

Two communities will compete in MSG Varsity high school quiz show.

The last time Farmingdale High School and Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School went head to head was on the football field. This time the communities will compete against each other in the high school quiz show, MSG Varsity's "The Challenge".

Both schools will be competing against 31 other Nassau County schools during the regional rounds to qualify for Tri-State Championship Playoffs. The school awarded Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 for their school and $500 cash prize for every student that participates in the final "Challenge".

The Farmingdale High School team is represented by: Nakul Grupta, Duncan McCloskey, Alexander Melton (Captain), Christopher Brandimarte, (Alternates) Katherine Gilleran and Michael Waldman. The academic advisor is Peter G. Macchia.
