HANC Takes Second Prize in Video Contest

Monetary award was secondary to "cultivating school spirit."

in Plainview was awarded second prize in the The Jewish Day School Video Academy's recent video contest, garnering over 2,800 votes.

More than 40 schools nationally were entered into the contest. HANC will be awarded a prize of $5,000.

“This was never about the money for us. It was about cultivating school spirit, which it surely did,” said HANC's principal. “We couldn’t be more proud of the way our students, alumni, families and friends rallied together to build community support.”

Rabbi Fogel said HANC would like to thank and for allowing students to set up “voting stations” in their stores.

The Jewish Day School Video Academy is a program designed to help Jewish day schools improve their marketing and fundraising using online video. Winning videos can be viewed at their website: dayschoolvideoacademy.org.
