'Heroic Long Island' Museum to Open at Plainview JFK

Grand opening of regional history exhibit to take place Thursday at school.

Plainview JFK High School will conduct its grand opening ceremony for its “Heroic Long Island” museum Thursday afternoon.

The museum, located in the high school library, will honor legendary Long Island figures including journalist the Oyster Bay native who was slain while covering the Syrian uprising in February 2012. The exhibition will also include tributes to highly decorated military heroes from the area and local NYPD and FDNY first responders who lost their lives on

Several family members will be attending the ceremony.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
