Hot Stuff on Tap at PTA Chili Cook-off

Plainview principals to go head-to-head Wednesday night in tasty benefit for Dollars for Scholars.

Here's an opportunity to get called to the principal's office and come away with a treat instead of a detention.

The Parent Teacher Association is hosting it's first Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m. and at least three of Plainview's principals have agreed to whip up some of their best chili for the event, including JFK Principal

All proceeds from the fundraising event will benefit the Campaign, created to recognize deserving high school graduates for their commitment to Plainview community.

Those in attendance will be able to sample the various chili recipes and vote for their favorite chef or team, said PTA member Susan Stewart. As they do, they can enjoy the musical talents of the POBJFK High School students, Jazz Ensemble and two

The High School’s will also be preparing dishes at the event.

Tickets at the door cost $10 for adults, $5 for students.
