John F. Kennedy High School student Amanda DeMel was recently presented with the 2014 George Farber Outstanding Student Award.
DeMel was one of 17 students awarded at the ceremony. The distinction recognized DeMel for her academic achievement and her commitment to the Plainview-Old Bethpage community.
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District extended congratulations to DeMel on her performance and dedication in a variety of challenging courses during the school year, and for being such an enthusiastic leader.
