JFK High School Students 'Connect to Technology'

Students earn Grand Prize Distinction at NYIT Connect to Tech Fair

Three students on the John F. Kennedy High School’s Science Research Team were recently awarded “grand prize” distinction at the 2014 New York Institute of Technology Connect to Tech Fair.  

Kimia Ziadkhanpour and Nicolette Almer were awarded second place and a $800 prize for their stem cell tissue research and engineering project.  Reva Butensky won third place and $600 for her project on the reverse engineering of a biological redox cell.

More than 25 Long Island high school teams presented research and engineering-based projects to a panel of expert judges, and three grand prize awards were distributed to the best most deserving presenters.
