Last Chance: Candidates Forum in Plainview Wednesday night

The candidates square off at 7 p.m. at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School.

Here's your chance to see the candidates for Plainview's Board of Education field questions from the public and debate among themselves.

Four Board of Education candidates vying for three seats will face off in a public forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School.

The four candidates on the ballot are:

  • Incumbent Trustees Gary Bettan and Emily Schulman.
  • Challengers Kevin Rea and Seth Greenberg.
The top three vote getters will earn a 3-year term on the school board. The forum is set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday and is sponsored by the Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council.

The budget vote is set for Tuesday May 21 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. During the budget votes, these candidates will be on the ballot for a three-year-term on Plainview's Board of Education.
