Sophomore Laura Cernigilia took the top spot in Friday's Plainview Idol competition, but the big winner was the audience which saw such talent on display.
Singers Seth Norman, Elena Rothenberg, Alex Resnick, Hallie Brown, Keith Weiss, Jonah Steuer, Tracy Abraham, Kristen Ackhanian, Leah Anton, Kristina DiFalco, and Kaitlyn Herman took part in the performance Friday at the JFK auditorium.
Cerniglilia took on DiFalco, a sphomore, and Herman, a senior, in the second-round competition before being named the winner.
