Mattlin Hosting Seminar on Dangers of Alcohol

The will host a special presentation Thursday night about the importance of communicating with your kids about the dangers of alcohol.

Jointly sponsored by the Mattlin and s, the hour-long session is designed to provide guidance to parents and teenagers about what they need to know to avoid the consequences and tragedies associated with alcohol abuse.

The meeting from 7:30– 8:30 p.m. at the Mattlin auditorium will be led by trained a (MADD) staff member and volunteer facilitator. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Research shows that 74 percent of kids say their parents are the leading influence on their decisions about drinking alcohol.

And alcohol kills more teenagers than all other illegal drugs combined.

All who attend will receive a parent handbook to supplement the workshop.
