recently celebrated the 100th birthday of the Oreo and, in honor of the cookie’s centennial, students dressed in black and white to match the cookies' chocolate wafers and cream filling.
The students learned about the history of the Oreo, which was once referred to as a biscuit, as they taste-tested and rated different types. The students incorporated educational components into their celebration of the Oreo.
They observed the Oreo in milk and water in a science experiment, and used their five senses to describe the cookie to someone who may never have eaten an Oreo before.
