Plainview District Welcomes New Faculty

The has announced a new slate of teachers and administrators who have joined the faculty for the 2012-2013 school year.

In many cases, the positions are replacements for retiring teachers and others who have moved away. The new faculty members and their positions are as follows:

Administrators

• Tom Howard – Interim Director of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics
• Kim Christ – Assistant Director of Special Education for Grades Preschool-4
• Dr. Tim Eagen – Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources
• Kimberly Ferina – Mathematics Chair for Grades K-12
• James Bolen - Assistant Principal at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School (POBJFK)

Teachers

• Kristin Sainola - Math Teacher at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School (POBMS)
• Dena Mortell - Art Teacher at Parkway Elementary School & POBJFK
• Kyle Quenneville - Library Media Specialist at Old Bethpage Elementary School
• Grace Zhao - Chinese Teacher at POBJFK & POBMS
• Jason Andrews - Business Teacher at POBJFK
• Casey Boddy - Math Teacher at POBMS
• Rosemarie Elder - Art Teacher at POBMS
• Robert Warren - Physical Education Teacher at Kindergarten Center & Stratford Road Elementary School
• Lanya D’Ambrosio – Special Education Teacher at POBMS
• Domenick DiDomenico – Guidance at POBJFK
• Samantha Axelrod – MMS District-wide, Blind & Visually Impaired
• Janese Pfeiffer – Kindergarten Center and Elementary Teacher.

Of course, the district has a new superintendent, who has taken the helm of the Plainview District beginning in August.
