Plainview Fourth Graders Support the Troops

Stratford Road Elementary School Students “Adopt” A Soldier

Mr. Paskal’s fourth grade students from Plainview's Stratford Road Elementary School recently “adopted” a soldier and his unit currently stationed in Afghanistan.

The students wrote letters to the soldiers, decorated a banner and collected toiletries and snacks which were packaged and sent to the soldiers.

Adopted soldier Michael Cavezza is currently serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army and is the nephew of a Plainview-Old Bethpage faculty member.  The heart-felt and caring packages created by the fourth graders are sure to put smiles on the soldiers’ faces.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
