Plainview Kids Perform at Hofstra

Seventeen Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District 7th grade students performed at the eighth-annual Hofstra Honors Band concert recently.

The students were selected based on their outstanding effort and achievement in the middle school band program. POB students played among 300 other exceptional 7th grade band students from across Long Island and the Hofstra Wind Ensemble.

The concert was organized by Hofstra Professor Peter Boonshaft and featured renowned guest conductor Larry Clark. The students were under the direction of Plainview teachers David Hirsch and Roger Geddes.
