In recognition of National School Bus Safety Week, students in Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District recently practiced safety drills with their classroom teachers.
Students learned the imporantance of staying seated with their seat belts on, to listen to the bus driver, and how to board and get off the bus in a safe manner.
Students also participated in seat belts drills in September and will have another safety drill in the spring, school officials said.
