Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School Students Win Big

The students took first place in Odyssey of the Mind regional competition.

A team of seventh and eighth grade students from the Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School won big recently, when they placed first in the Odyssey of the Mind regional competition in Wantagh.

The team was tasked with creating a problem replicating an adventure in a haunted forest. The problem-solving-based international competition encourages students to enhance their creativity, critical thinking and artistic abilities.

What's next for the team? This group of seven girls qualify to represent the Long Island region in the state competition in Binghamton, NY.
