Plainview-Old Bethpage Students Excel in New York State DECA Competition

More than 130 John F. Kennedy High School business and marketing students recently competed in the New York State DECA competition in Rochester, NY.  

DECA is an international educational program that prepares students to be leaders and entrepreneurs in the marketing, finance, hospitality and managements fields.

Eighty Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District students qualified for the International DECA Conference, and 67 of those students will attend the event in Atlanta, Georgia to compete against 15,000 students from around the world.

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District congratulates the following five seniors from the competition that were elected to the state’s DECA Honor Society: Derek Ash, Jeremy Frierman, Jeffery Plotkin, Lisa Rosentstein and Reid Zank.  In addition, the District recognizes Ms. Kimberly Sieloff for being presented with the New York DECA Media Award.
