Did you find that your kids really didn't need all those things you bought this weekend?
Based on the lines at Staples of South Oyster Bay Road on Monday afternoon, an awful lot of local people spent hours of their Labor Day searching for pens, calculators and 5-subject notebooks.
Is all this really necessary before the kids attend the first day of classes?
Does all this buying have to be done on the final weekend before school begins? Couldn't we ease into this, say over two pay checks, or something?
