Reminder: 'Little Doctors' Blood Drive Today

Special event helps kids learn about the human circulatory system and can help to save lives.

A reminder about a special event going on at Mattlin Middle School Tuesday:

The is sponsoring its annual Tuesday at the Mattlin Middle School cafeteria. The event, which will run 3:30- 9:30 p.m., began with the 5th graders at participating in a presentation in class on the need for, and uses of, blood.

It culminates today with the blood drive, where the students participate in the process alongside trained professionals.

Volunteers are needed. The blood supply is in constant need of replenishing. The process doesn't take long and can make a big difference in the lives of local people, organizers said.
