Plainview JFK musicians perform at Mid-Island Y JCC

Plainview JFK High School’s chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society recently performed for an audience of senior citizens at the Mid-Island Y JCC, part of a program designed to connect young people with their elders.

The advanced musicians performed a selection of varied musical pieces for the excited crowd. Chapter Advisor Glenn Rubin shared his thoughts on the event stating:

“This is yet another example of the importance of music in our schools and in the life of our community.”
