Summer Thunderstorms May Drench Plainview Monday

Heat wave has passed, but more storms could bring high winds and lots of rain today.

The National Weather Service says heavy thunderstorms are likely Monday morning that could bring heavy rain and gusty winds.

TODAY'S 5:

1. The weather service is calling for a 90 percent chance of thunder storms on Monday morning into the afternoon. Some of the storms could be severe. On Friday, heavy storms across Long Island to some Plainview homes, but also broke last week's heat wave.
