Some Plainview parents are expressing anger that Plainview-Old Bethpage schools were open today, and without a two-hour delay.
The decision to close school is one made early in the morning, and before dawn Friday the streets were not as bad as shown in the attached daylight photo, taken this morning on Garnet Lane. And, to be fair, this two-part nor'easter has confounded the predictions of even the National Weather Service. Many other Long Island districts held full-day classes today.
