POB Cares and Project PACE offer supportive services for seniors aged 60 plus, residing in Plainview and Old Bethpage.

TBE students joined their new senior friends to hear wonderful stories about what life was like 40-50 years ago. Students were mesmerized listening to stories from the past. Questions on technology, school, clothing and more were asked by the students and answered by the guests.

Following inspiring conversations, TBE students and seniors worked together to create a Memory Quilt that is on display at the Mid-Island Y JCC in Plainview.

The joint partnership between the students and seniors was a learning experience that created memories that could last a lifetime.

Stop means stop. Just like stop signs, where it seems like the local definition is to slow down toRead More 30 mph. You STOP, and look. Then go. I have seen kids having a tough time crossing Jamaica Ave because of this twisted definition of STOP. If anything, this is a good way to relearn what should of been taught in drivers ed.
