Tonight's School Board Meeting Agenda

Public session begins at 7:45 p.m. tonight at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. Here's what to expect.

The public portion of the s monthly meeting begins at 7:45 p.m. tonight in the central administration building board room.

The meeting will start off with an address from the student government, followed by announcements, retiree honors, and the superintendent's announcements.

Next up are reports and discussion on , board of education goals, high school guidance issues, and changes in the Regents Competency Test Safety Net for children with disabilities, followed by a public participation session.

The board will consider proposed student placements, personnel adjustments, and finances during the routine business portion of the meeting. Contracts with the Brookville Center for Children, the Great Neck Union Free School District, and Nassau BOCES, bid awards for facility repairs and reconstruction, and budget reports will be among the topics discussed during the finances portion.

The meeting will wrap up with an address of the academic calendar and, lastly, a discussion of new business including field trips, investments, procurements, a circulation of the fund balance policy, staff development course offerings, modification of settlement agreement, and an overview of attendance at the annual NYSSBA Conference.
