Farmingdale Softball Beats Plainview, 9-4

Dalers remain undefeated.

Farmingdale's girls softball team maintained its perfect record, beating Plainview Wednesday 9-4.

 Plainview is 4-2 while Farmingdale is 7-0.

"This was the first game that really challenged us," Farmingdale coach Laura Malone said."I'm proud that they stepped it up," and cited a strong effort by pitcher Michelle Duddy. "She pitched really well. She never gave up," Malone said.

The game featured a crushing hit by Farmingdale's Kat Zabielski that produced four runs but gave her credit for just one RBI because of throwing errors charged to Plainview. She ended up with five RBIs for the game.

Plainview coach Neil Lasher said, "We didn't fold. We just got outhit."
