Olympian Warms Up for London on LI

Maria Michta completes her last competition before heading to London and the Olympics.

Racewalker Maria Michta surprised no one Saturday, easily leading the competition and surpassing many runners in a 5k race in Farmingdale.

Patch will have race results and plenty of photos later Saturday. Racers came from around Long Island for the Greater Long Island Running Club event.

Michta competes Aug.11 in the women's 20k racewalk in the London Olympics.
