Recapping a Stellar Season for Plainview JFK Soccer

Team finished 11-2-2 in playoff season; several players capture individual honors.

The Plainview JFK Soccer Team celebrated a remarkable season at its awards dinner this week, a year where the team advanced to the playoffs with an overall record of 11-2-2.

The team, led by Coach Christine Ho, has lost only one regular season game in the last two seasons and made the playoffs two consecutive years. The team also saw eight of its players earn prestigious individual honors in 2012. They are:

The team scored 39 goals, including 15 by Sklar, while allowing only 6. Goalie David Geyer was 8-2-2 in goal with seven shutouts. Stone led the team in assists with 8.

Field play time leaders were Montes and Randisi. The co-captains were Montes, Sklar, and Mendelsohn.

Plainview's soccer program can continue to look toward a bright future, organizers say. The Boys Junior Varsity team earned the conference championship in 2012, led by team captains Sam Willens and Tyler Fenton.
