Plainview's library is offering two free showings today of the 2011 film "The Music Never Stopped."

1.The, offers "The Music Never Stopped." at 3 and 7:30 p.m. The 2011 film is the story of a father who struggles to bond with his estranged son after the young man  suffers a brain tumor that prevents him from forming new memories. Rated PG. Open to all.

2. The book club meets to discuss "A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole at the library at 10:30 a.m. The discussion, open to all, is hosted by Director Gretchen Browne of the Plainview Library and Beth Spickler-Lerman of YJCC.

3. The North Shore Civil War Roundtable meets at the Barnes & Noble in nearby Huntington Station at 7:30 p.m. Newcomers are always welcome.

4. The plays host to experts offering insights into helping local businesses design a marketing strategy that can provide results. They will discuss traditional direct marketing, mobile, social and brand marketing. The event from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m., is open to the public.
