Bethpage State Park is one of Long Island's true gems, and its right here in your neighborhood! Featuring nationally renown golf courses, tennis courts, bicycle riding paths, picnic areas and a polo field, it has all you need for the ideal summer day.
Bethpage State Park has five 18-hole golf courses, and was home to the U.S. Open in 2002 and 2009. Golf Digest also named the Black course No. 26 in it's 2008 publication of America's Greatest Golf Courses. It also named the course No. 6 is New York. State, and No. 6 in America's Toughest Golf Courses.
There is even a sign before entering the black which warns golfers how difficult the course is, suggesting only highly skilled golfers play it.
After a round of golf, head on over to the picnic areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather The bicycle paths run through scenic nature-filled areas and tennis courts are right next to the golf courses.
There is also a tremendous polo field, hiking, a restaurant and catering facilities. Since 1932, Bethpage State Park has been a place to exercise, improve your golf/tennis game and simply enjoy everything nature has to offer.
