PHOTOS: Thousands Thrill to Oyster Festival; Your Photos Wanted

NEW PHOTOS: The 28th annual event, which concluded Sunday, had the Oyster Bay waterfront hopping. We want your photos of the event.

Tens of thousands of people descended on the historic Oyster Bay waterfront Saturday and Sunday for the 28th annual The well-organized, two- day affair that originated as a parade in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, drew an estimated 200,000 people to T.R.'s hometown.

Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park was packed with visitors, taking in an assortment of exhibitions, food and entertainment. The perfect autumn weather cooperated.

These photos paint a cross-section of the Oyster Festival's offering.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
